Kissuiso (喜翆荘, Kissuisō) was a hot-spring ryokan (inn) located in Yunosagi that is owned by Sui Shijima where Ohana Matsumae has worked and lived there after Satsuki Matsumae sent her there. It was mothballed (the deactivation and preservation of equipment or a production facility for possible future use or sale) at the end of Hanasaku Iroha.

Overview

Built during the Taisho period, the inn is quite old-fashioned, as it was built even before Sui came to work at it. Due to this, it was not as popular as most other inns. It stays old-fashioned because the madam-mistress refuses to renovate the place. Even so, the inn received quite a few regular customers.

• Ohana Matsumae's Room

The room that Ohana sleeps in, she also shares it with Minko Tsurugi, another young worker of Kissuiso around Ohana's age. This is where the two sees each other day in and day out.

• Wave Room

The Wave Room(波の間 nami no ma) is the room Tarou Jiroumaru frequents the most. Almost like his own personal room, this is where he writes his novels.

The front lawn is where Ohana met with Minko for the first time. Not only grass grows there; an edible plant called rocamboles are self-grown by Minko herself, which Ohana without knowing weeded them, thinking they were weeds.

Kissuiso is based on Yuwaku Onsen, a hot spring resort located in Kanazawa, Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan.
