Enishi Shijima (四十万 縁 Shijima Enishi) is a secondary character of Hanasaku Iroha. He is the son of Seiji Shijima and Sui Shijima, the younger brother of Satsuki Matsumae, the 32-year-old uncle of Ohana Matsumae and the husband of Takako Kawajiri.
Personality[]
During his childhood, being a crybaby, Enishi was bullied a lot by Satsuki Matsumae.
Plot[]
Enishi works at Kissuiso, being the second-in-command because he's the son of Sui Shijima, the current Madam Mistress. He attended the same university as Takako Kawajiri and seems to be infatuated by her, shown by his dedication for her. His dedication to the inn is just about the same, as he wants to show that he is not the crybaby he used to be, even though at times he falters. Later, after some events, Enishi and Takako decide to marry.
Etymology[]
- The name Enishi means "edge, fate, brink, relation, chance, connection/connexion, karma, bonds, destiny, bond, link" (縁).
- Enishi's surname Shijima means "400,000" (四十万).
